Villages at Mauna Lani Resort
Hawaii
Location. The Villages at Mauna Lani, a townhouse community built within the acclaimed Mauna Lani Resort, rises over the Pacific paradise of Kamuela, Hawaii. Proudly located on Ili Kupono, the ground that this gated property now occupies was the historic vacation destination of Hawaiian royalty. Positioned in the center of the Mauna Lani Resort, the villages feature three, white sand beaches, 27 acres of historic parks, and ancient petroglyph fields.
Features. Property amenities include the 36 hole Francis I'i Brown championship golf course. The private Mauna Lani Beach Club offers dining at the Beach Club Restaurant and Bar and the Mauna Lani Spa features Hawaiian treatments intended to nurture mind, body and soul. The Mauna Lani Sports and Fitness Club offers use of a lap pool, six tennis courts, a gym and a steam room. The staff includes personal trainers, nutritionists, professional tennis coaches and private yoga and pilates instructors. Specifically, the Villages at Mauna Lani features a freeform, freshwater lagoon style outdoor pool and spa, an aerobics and exercise room, and a clubhouse pavilion with a wet bar and a catering kitchen.
Guestrooms. The Villages' accommodations are available in four elegant models. The split level Maile is the largest at 2,752 square feet and includes an upper level master suite with spectacular views. The single floor Ali'i and Kahili both feature private pools and spa tubs. All models have three bedrooms and three and one half bathrooms. Units include gourmet style kitchens, spacious dining rooms and expansive, covered lanais equipped with wet bars, under counter refrigerators and gas grills.
Expert Tip. The Mauna Lani Resort (including the Villages at Mauna Lani) has been a pioneer in conservation efforts, and, as of 2006, is the only resort on the Kohala Coast to use solar energy and other renewable resources to power its operations.
