Had a great 3-night stay in late January. Quiet, comfortable, and although basic we lacked nothing. Did not need AC with the awesome breeze. Lanai was large, comfortable and we watched surfers most of the time due to larger than normal surf. Great sunsets and lots of whale sightings too! If you demand an elite resort this is probably not for you, by if you appreciate good people and a chill vibe - I think you'll enjoy it like we did.
Overall a really great place. Only 18 rooms is really nice, so never overcrowded. Parking lot is tight if you have a big car, but didn't have trouble getting a spot. Views are incredible, out of the sun pretty much all day. Comfy, heavy patio seating with good cushions. Rooms are decent sized for 2 people and bathroom is great. Property is very clean everywhere. It's near perfect for a few days stay. Needs a few small details: a keurig in the room would be better, softer toilet paper, a TV, double the number of towels. The only real issue we had is the doors are extremely loud when opening and closing, so you can hear all the guests around you coming and going.
This hotel is amazing! I wish we stayed longer but alas we had to keep moving on with our adventure on the big island! Nothing beats listening to the waves as you fall asleep. The room was clean and stocked for you to cook in or eat out! Parking is tight but we made do. Beds were comfortable. Overall an amazing experience on the big island! There is no A/C but there is no need, there are fans and an unbeatable breeze from the ocean. If A/C is a must need for you, don’t stay here and complain about it on Google. We walked up the hill to Green Flash Coffee shop for breakfast and enjoyed dinner at Fish Hopper in town (drove and found parking).
Great location with great views. Was nice having private lanai to sit out on and enjoy the ocean views and sunsets. Room was comfortable and had nice amenities. Staff was friendly. The saltwater pool was great! Having free parking was a great benefit, though the lot is small. People with bigger rentals, like SUVs really had tight parking, but I had a small car so no issues. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is not a resort hotel, which I prefer
A great hotel with an ocean view and reasonably priced. We rented snorkel gears on site and had a great snorkel experience. We suggest talking to the friendly, welcoming property manager and they will share the local snorkel spots and sea turtle sighting spots.
