Had an incredible stay and glad I didn’t listen to some of the negative reviews here. The resort is huge and feels like a true nature getaway: peaceful, relaxing, and easy to unplug. We loved biking around the property. Also, don’t skip the surf shop. The instructors are excellent, even for beginners. They’ll take you to a suitable beach even if the waves near the hotel look intimidating. It was my partner’s first time surfing and he loved it. If group lesson times don’t fit your schedule, a private lesson for two is a great option.

The resort is beautiful, the scavenger passport helped make the trip more fun for our little one. Lots to do around the area but honestly the pools are amazing I would just stay here all day - super kid friendly. The food was all very good, highly recommend. My only complaint would be the pull out sofa, it was so squeaky anytime our kids moved on it at night. We did also do professional photos and while they were pretty expensive our photographer nailed it and took some amazing photos.

The North Shore's Only Luxury Resort, and It Earns That Position Fully The Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay doesn't feel like a hotel. It feels like a destination that happens to have rooms. The Smartgolfcourses team visited the property while exploring the North Shore's golf landscape, and what we found was a resort that operates at a genuinely different scale from anything else on Oahu. Spread across 1,300 acres on a peninsula with five miles of shoreline, seven secluded beaches within walking distance, and 12 miles of hiking and biking trails running through the property, the place gives you the rare sensation of having the entire North Shore to yourself even when it's full. We were primarily there for golf. The Arnold Palmer Course at Turtle Bay is a championship layout that has hosted both the LPGA and Champions Tour, and being on that property during a regular week made it easy to understand why professional events feel at home here. The course is well maintained, the practice facilities are organized, and the first tee area sets a confident tone from the moment you arrive. The George Fazio Course on the same grounds is currently temporarily closed, which is a loss, but the Arnold Palmer side carries enough character on its own. Beyond golf, the resort holds its own without effort. Roy Yamaguchi's restaurant at Kuilima Cove, Lei Lei's Bar and Grill overlooking the Fazio course, the sunset pool bar with live music, the Nalu Spa, horseback riding stables, surf instruction on site. The property has been thoughtfully rebuilt under the Ritz-Carlton flag and the renovation shows in every detail. One hour from Waikiki. A world away in every other sense. If the North Shore is on your Oahu itinerary, this is where you anchor the trip.

Gorgeous location! Beautiful hotel - the updated lobby has an upscale but very relaxed and beachy aesthetic. Plenty of spots for relaxing with amazing views of the water. The cafe was the perfect place to play board games, surrounded by windows looking out to the beaches. We also enjoyed watching the surfers from the pool bar area. The rooms were some of the best we have stayed in. There is a great selection of food trucks just minutes away in both directions. As for eating at the hotel, Roy’s Beach House was so delicious, but our dinner at Alaia was the culinary highlight of the trip! Everyone who worked at the hotel was so helpful and friendly. Truly a great trip.

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Oʻahu, Turtle Bay was truly memorable. The grounds are stunning and expansive, and the pool area is absolutely amazing—easily one of the highlights of the property. Dining at Roy’s Beach House was a treat, with delicious food and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. The service throughout the resort was excellent: attentive, friendly, and consistently thoughtful. The rooms, while comfortable and perfectly good, didn’t quite reach the level we usually expect from a Ritz-Carlton, but they certainly didn’t detract from the overall experience. The massive gym was a fantastic bonus—well-equipped and ideal for anyone who likes to stay active while traveling. Overall, the hotel feels like its own landmark and oasis, beautifully set apart from the rest of the island. We only stayed two nights and genuinely wished we had an extra night to enjoy everything the resort has to offer.
