Description

Immerse yourself in Kohala’s stunning beauty and rich history.  Begin your journey with a scenic drive through the lush Kohala region, passing through charming plantation towns like Hawi and Kapa’au, home to the iconic King Kamehameha Statue. After arriving in the historic and quaint town of Hawi, enjoy a fun off-road adventure that will take you onto a private nature reserve that once served as a sugarcane plantation.  Once at the trailhead, enjoy your relaxed trail walk, an exclusive one-mile trail along a private stream, where you’ll find cascading waterfalls and refreshing pools perfect for swimming. Take a refreshing dip after your hike under one of the private waterfalls and bask in the cool, cascading mountain water.  To cap off your day, enjoy a picnic lunch at our secluded overlook with breathtaking views of Kohala’s famous valleys and sea cliffs.

Important Information

• Guests should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain, and we sometimes encounter cool, wet, or muddy conditions. Pregnant individuals must obtain a doctor’s approval due to the risks associated with off-road driving. Children under 3 years old must be carried in a backpack carrier. Tour Minimum: We require a minimum of four guests for a tour to operate. Though infrequent, if your tour does not meet this minimum, we will notify you at least 24 hours in advance. In the event of a cancellation due to low participation, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. PLEASE NOTE: Your pick-up time will be different than the tour start time displayed online. Please contact us to verify the meeting time.
