Description

Embark on a full-day tour of Maui's Hana Highway with a local guide. Stop at scenic spots, immerse yourself in Hawaiian culture, and discover hidden gems. Enjoy drinks, snacks, and banana bread Take home photos and a video of your day. Start your day with a visit to Ho’okipa Beach, the number one spot for windsurfing on the entire planet. Keep an eye out for Hawaiian green sea turtles and Hawaiian monk seals. In the winter months, waves here can approach 30 to 40 feet. Next, visit the Keanae Peninsula, where roughly 200 residents have called home for over 1000 years. Learn about the 1946 tsunami, an event that claimed 24 lives and significantly altered the peninsula landscape. Stop at Aunt Sandy's Banana Bread for a treat. Continue to the Keanae Arboretum, nestled within a rainforest. Walk along a scenic path with a flowing stream and learn about the cultivation of taro, bananas, and other crops. Keep an eye out for informative labels throughout the path and don't miss the photogenic rainbow eucalyptus trees. Next, visit the Wailua Falls Lookout for a stunning view of the falls and the surrounding landscape. Learn about the history and culture of the area. Continue to the Pua’a Ka’a State Park, which offers easy access to waterfalls. Enjoy the amenities for a stop along the road to Hana, including parking, bathrooms, and covered picnic tables with a view. For those adventurous enough, there is an opportunity for a jump off of the waterfalls, which are about 20 feet high. Finally, visit the Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach Park, where you can take a walk on the black sand beach. Visit the secret cave where a young Hawaiian woman years ago sacrificed her life in a love triangle. Reservations are required and I will take care of that for us. Just remember DO NOT take the rock and or sand. I never realized how many ppl do this until I became a tour guide. We will end up in Hanatown, where we will have the opportunity to eat from many different food trucks. There are tacos. There are burgers there is pokey. There is fish tacos. There is the best juice/smoothies that I found on the entire island. We also have the opportunity to use the nicest restroom on the road to Hana. . We will now begin our journey back to town where if we had to miss any spots on the way out because of weather or parking will hit these on the way back. I try to hit the waterfall on the way back so if anybody wants to get wet this is the opportunity for that that way no one ends up, sitting wet any longer than they have to not a bad idea to bring a change of clothes. I hope to see you in the future and share some of my aloha with you.
