Description
Immerse yourself in the rich history of Pearl Harbor with a 6-hour tour that departs from Honolulu International Airport (HNL). This extended tour provides a more in-depth experience, allowing you to explore Pearl Harbor's key landmarks and gain a comprehensive understanding of the pivotal events of World War II.
Begin your journey with a convenient pick-up from Honolulu International Airport. Relax in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as your knowledgeable guide introduces you to Pearl Harbor’s historical significance on the way to the Visitor Center.
Your first stop is the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, where you’ll have time to explore exhibits that detail the lead-up to the attack on December 7, 1941, the day of the attack, and its aftermath. View photographs, personal accounts, and wartime memorabilia that give insight into how the attack impacted the course of history.
Watch a short documentary film that sets the stage for your visit to the USS Arizona Memorial. Board a Navy shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial, built over the wreckage of the battleship that sank during the attack, resulting in the loss of 1,177 crew members. Spend time reflecting at the memorial, viewing the names of the fallen, and looking through the water at the remains of the ship below.
Climb aboard the USS Missouri Battleship, often called the “Mighty Mo,” where the official Japanese surrender took place in 1945, marking the end of WWII. Walk the decks and explore the ship’s command center, crew quarters, and the site of the surrender ceremony. Learn how this battleship served in key battles of the war and continued to serve through the Korean and Gulf Wars.
Following your tour, relax on the drive back to Honolulu International Airport, ensuring you arrive with plenty of time for your onward flight.
