This place is amazing for family fun!! I always thought the water here was not good to swim in, being it is a man made pond, I WAS WRONG, THIS WATER IS SUPER SAFE AND CLEAN. NO SMELL AT ALL. FISHES in the water too.. small guppies, they help with the eco system in this water! We went back twice in a month because we loved it so much. KYLER MY NEPHEW IS ALSO GREAT AT GREETING EVERYONE! ALL THE STAFF HERE IS AWESOME. EVEN THE SNACK SHOP. the ice cream bars is heaven!! Go check it out, great exercise for the body also. Pure family fun and making great memories!! Thank you Vaikai family.
Had a great time there. Spent time with the grandkids (and their parents of course,) and gave the course a try. Everyone had a great time. The area is clean, the employees are friendly, and afternoon activity was the right amount of time. There were some food and beverage options for us as well, which was nice. We didn't take part of the Surfing/Wave activity, but it looked like a blast. Definitely a return visit is on the horizon. And appreciate the Kamaaina benefits too!
My kids are 16,14, and 13 and they had a good time on the obstacle course. They would have loved to do some surfing and paddle sports, but time and money were a factor. It was disappointing that not all the food places were open, but the food at the Lookout was open and we had nachos, fish tacos and brussels sprouts. Sprouts were good, but maybe a little too sweet for my preference. We sat and watched the surfers and that was entertaining. If you want to sit outside and watch your kids, good luck! Seats fill up quick. The ticketing is located down by the water, so after you park, you need to walk through the property toward the water. Took a little exploring to find it and we ran into a couple other groups that looked lost so we were able to direct them. All in all, it was a fun day!
Okay, so you’re asking why would you go to a water park or lagoon when there’s so many awesome beaches in Hawaii and Oahu. Well the simple answer is because we’re all looking for something new and different to do once in a while with family and friends. And that exactly why we ended up at Wai Kai. It was a chance to hang out with our kids and friends before they returned to school after the winter break. The obstacle course was a ton of fun, we took advantage of the other water activities too, and we also opted to get a couple cabanas too so we could all hang out. It was perfect for our group of 20. Some of the restaurants were closed the day we went, but the takeout food at The Lookout was delicious. We also enjoyed some cold beverages too. BTW, the Nalo Lounge is a great option for $25/person if you want to store your belonging and take a shower before heading to your ext destination. For local families, take advantage of the kamaaina rates. The family is already excited about going back when the kids are back home this summer. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
