If you’re looking for a fun night out, this place is so fun! They’ve got country line dancing, pool tables, darts, strong drinks, and lots of entertaining people watching. You can even sign up to take a shot and have one of the staff members slap you afterward… which looked absolutely painful but hilarious to watch. Great happy hour, fun atmosphere, and definitely one of those places where there’s always something happening.
I met the owner/bar tender Michelle at Whiskey Dix last night. What a great place to go if you want to learn how to line dance or swing dance. They have great lessons with really good instructors. We had such a great time, and everyone was really friendly and inviting. The dance floor is set up really well, and the bar has a great selection of beers and cocktails. Michelle told me that they make and mix everything in house instead of using pre-made mixes etc. If you want to cut loose and have a great time, Whiskey Dix is the place to go.
Im not sure if maybe we went on an off day but the music wasnt great, they charged us $5 per person cover, and music also wasnt playing half the time due to line dancing class. Would not go again as my party and I were very bored. The darts are fun but hard to stick onto it
One of the only and original country bars on island. Heavy military presence, lots of college and hella locals. Vibes are great, good drinks, and good people. Come honky tonk! They don’t have food but they offer snacks! Jimmy is an awesome dude who takes his job seriously and ensures the security of the establishment. All the bouncers are super awesome. Hurricane T is there. Can’t wait to start doing those slap shots again! Brooke, Isaac, Makana, Austin are all super dope DJ’s. Michelle is a great. Super friendly and welcoming. Definitely love this bar. It’s my little getaway to dance the night away.
