King's Village
Hawaii
Probably the most unique shopping center in Hawaii, King’s Village has a Disney-like feel with the windy cobbled streets and movie set feel. The buildings in King’s Village are an interpretation of how Honolulu might have looked at the turn of the century.
A longstanding Waikiki tradition, the changing of the Guard happens promptly at 6:15 every evening to pay tribute to Hawaii’s history as an advantageous military location. The guards perform the same drills that were performed in the 19th century and wear uniform replicas of those worn by the original Hawaiian Royal Palace Guard in the late 1800’s. The demonstration is free and is performed at the main entrance of King’s Village on the corner of Koa Avenue and Kaiulani Avenue.
Open 10am to 11pm Daily.
