The property is lovely and well maintained. Bernie is a very kind and helpful host! And what a great location with proximity to beaches, Weimea Valley, food trucks, and hikes. We managed to get around without a rental car just on foot and riding the bus and would definitely recommend that for shorter stays.
My review of Bernie, Maria and April is absolutely positive! I’ve been to their lodge several times, and each visit they make me feel like family. The place is beautiful, with gorgeous gardens and lovely rooms. They always treat me incredibly well, and even though I rarely write reviews, I feel they deserve it. I stay for quite some time each visit because I feel happy and so comfortable. The gardens are gorgeous, the rooms too, and it’s just steps from the beach in Haleiwa, making it easy for me to get around and enjoy my time even more! The guests who stay there are really great people. This time, I was there during the flooding, but the good thing is it wasn’t in their area—they’re about half an hour away from where it happened. And it made me happy to see how the whole community supported each other during that time. Bernie is so hilarious 😂
We had such an amazing experience at Kalani Hawaii and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming—they truly made us feel at home. The entire property was spotless, and you can tell they take great pride in maintaining everything. The gardens were absolutely beautiful—lush, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing walks. One of my favorite parts was how close everything was to the beach. Being able to easily enjoy the beach added so much to our stay. What really stood out was the peacefulness and privacy. It felt like a true escape from the busy world, and we were able to fully relax and recharge. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend Kalani Hawaii to anyone looking for a serene and beautiful getaway. I can’t wait to return!
This location is perfect! Everything was you have what you need stores snorkeling and breakfast are walking distance the hosts were amazing. Such a great place will definitely recommend to more ppl. FYI it’s super clean, & safe.
