Bartender has great stories. Smoked Old fashioned was delicious. Atmosphere is electric. Nachos were just ok.
Order the margarita! It’s the real deal, no sugary syrup, all good stuff! Agave syrup, triple sec, lime and tequila. And a lovely female bartender.
Autumn served us and we asked for whatever would get us the most bang for our buck and she gave us the tropical itch and boy did it work! But the best part of this experience was that it didn’t taste as strong as it was. She also had amazing energy and was so social and kind. Truly a worthwhile experience :)
If you’re anywhere near Waikīkī and craving a proper tiki cocktail, Tipsy Tiki inside the Kūhiō Food Hall at the International Market Place is an absolute must. First of all, the cocktails are no joke. These are not watered-down tourist drinks — they’re balanced, strong, and beautifully presented. The Tipsy Mai Tai is exactly what you want on vacation: layered rum flavor, just enough sweetness, and dangerously smooth. The La Piña Colada is creamy and fresh without being cloying, and the Tropical Old Fashioned is a standout if you want something spirit-forward with a tropical twist (bourbon, banana liqueur, walnut bitters — yes please). Bonus points for the iconic tiki mugs, frosted glassware, fresh citrus, and orchid garnishes — every drink is camera-ready and beach-adjacent chic. It’s the kind of spot where you order one more because the vibe demands it. The location is perfect: tucked into the Kūhiō Food Hall, it’s ideal for a mid-day cocktail, pre-dinner sip, or casual day-drinking stop between shopping and beach time. The bartenders are friendly, fast, and clearly know what they’re doing. Bottom line: Great drinks. Fun energy. Excellent execution. Tipsy Tiki understands the assignment. If you’re doing Waikīkī right, this should be on your list.
Ordered a Calamansi Margarita (similar to a lime) and it was fairly tasty. A little syrupy/sugary but all around good. No wait to be seated or served. The bar is just off one of the main thoroughfares in Waikiki so heavy foot traffic, good if you like people watching!
