If you're looking for an amazing hiking trail while visiting Oahu then you might've been recommended to go to the Lanikai Pillboxes. Also known as the Ka'iwa Ridge Trail, Lanikai Pillboxes gives you breathtaking views as you hike to the top which is around 20-30 minutes. As you go along the trail you'll see views overlooking the Lanikai neighborhood and of course the two famous military bunkers which are also great lookout points.
Lanikai Pillboxes is easily accessible via car or bus and the trail is about one-hour or so when going for a roundtrip hiking trail. The trail itself is steep and narrow so better be careful when trekking here. The place also has street parking at Kaelepulu Drive and also makes sure to bring water and sun screen since there isn't much shade here.
Lanikai Pillboxes is located along Kaelepulu Drive in Kailua which is also home to nearby tourist attractions such as Kailua Beach Park and Kailua Bay. From here you can easily gain access to other numerous key locations like tourist hotspots, restaurants, accommodations and many more.
