Still dreaming about the coconut shrimp. Easily the BEST coconut shrimp we’ve ever tasted. Perfectly crispy, fresh, sweet, savory… honestly one of those meals you keep thinking about long after vacation ends.
Stopped by Haleiwa seafood on our way to Haleiwa Beachpark. We had the griiled Mahi and Coconut Mahi Lunch plate. The flavors were on point. Would definitely recommend with the side of pineapple
Among the best seafood we had on the island, and some of the best prices. The Mahi is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and comes in very generous portions. We got it both grilled and the coconut flaked, and enjoyed it at a table nearby- the ones right next to the truck weren't shaded and it was hot.
I was visiting Haleiwa for the weekend and loved the feel of this quieter town. At the end of the strip of various restaurants is the food truck called Haleiwa Seafood that has delicious seafood, with hardly any wait, and lots of picnic benches. I ordered the plate of fries, fried mahi mahi, coconut shrimp and salad. Just the right portion size for the price, served hot! Great place to dine out, while watching an endless stream of tourists and shoppers, couples and families.
How can an atmosphere be bad in Hawaii! Food was wow! Calamari was so soft and not sure what was in the orangish sauce but it added flavor to Calamari. Even the dressing on the side sald tasted so good. A little of sweetness with a little of nutty flavor. Everything was good. Out door sitting was just perfect for Hawaiian weather!
