I really enjoyed my stay here. I booked it last second to deal with a crisis in my family and they were very accommodating when I had to change my dates. I felt very safe and comfortable (although I will say that there is a good bit of homeless people in the area, but they mind their business for the most part and didn't harass me at all). There is a laundromat and 7/11 right next door and several bus stops in short walking distance. I liked the kitchen in the dorm and the communal kitchen. They have an electric piano and some other instruments which made me really happy as a pianist. It's a beautiful hostel. They had some free stuf that got left behind by others and that was helpful when i needed some sandals. I didn't realize there was no air conditioning when I booked it, but the bedding is thin, and i slept on the bunk next to the window so it wasn't TERRIBLE, but that is something to keep in mind. Some of the more private rooms have air conditioning, but I got the cheapest thing I could find if I'm being honest. They have cleaning people come by every day, but there's still some junk under the beds and in some of the corners in the shower and stuff. It wasn't gross by any means, but definitely wasn't spotless. They have lockers but you have to bring your own lock (you can get one at the ABC store). Overall, I'd say it was a really good experience, especially for what I paid. I'd definitely stay here again, even if it wasn't a last second emergency like what I was dealing with.
I had a great stay at Honu Waikiki! The hostel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect—just a short walk from Waikiki Beach, shops, and restaurants. The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was easy to meet other travelers. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Honolulu!
I stayed here for 2 nights in a mixed room its was comfortable and spacious also it had a kitchen inside the room. Upon arrival they give blanket and bedsheets. The room had AC and a fan for breakfast they made fresh coffee with brownies. I definitely recommend staying here. They also have complementary beach essentials.
We highly recommend this hostel. The facilities are excellent, and the shared kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of utensils, which makes your stay much more comfortable and convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. On top of that, the staff and reception team are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit and things to do, which made our experience even better. A great place to stay, and we would definitely come back!
I stayed in the semi private female suite and the AC was a lifesaver. It was a pretty clean hostel but the bathrooms didn’t have the best ventilation so there was some mold on the shower curtains. I like that they had cleaning everyday and bedding. There was free coffee and brownies in the morning which was a plus! Everyone was very nice and I felt safe the entire time
