We had reserved an ocean view room and truly did not have an ocean view. There were two high-rises in front of us and maybe you could see the ocean through a little sliver between the two. We had a parking lot view which is very disappointing so we did not spend any time on the balcony. Also did not realize, this hotel is not on the beach. You have to walk around another resort to get to the beach and then you don't have any loungers so bring a towel. Hotel also does not have a pool and so we ended up using an app to pay to go to other hotels' pools. Big mistake on my part. There are better hotels and if you're going to be at a Hawaiian resort, make sure you have beachfront and ocean view. Should also mention that the one night we went to their restaurant to get sushi their sushi chef was out sick and so no sushi. But what we had was outstanding. I think it was pasta. There are only two elevators and so you can wait quite a bit to get one.

Staying here is a refreshing experience for anyone looking for a more peaceful, boutique alternative to the busier resort areas nearby. The location is excellent, tucked away near Kapiʻolani Park and Diamond Head, which provides a quieter atmosphere while still being within walking distance of the beach and local dining. The rooms are elegantly designed with a modern, tranquil aesthetic, and many offer stunning views of the coast or the iconic mountains. The staff is incredibly welcoming and provides a level of personalized service that makes the stay feel special and relaxed.

As courteous and friendly as the hotel staff are at the Lotus. There are a few things I wish I had known. The Garden View rooms are on the 3rd floor and it’s open air hallways similar to a motel which obviously aren’t air conditioned. No a/c in elevator either. The room with 2 double beds aren’t comfortable unless you like a softer feel that sinks a little in the middle. The hotel is in a prime location away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, is quiet and just steps to the beach. The room isn’t as nice as the photos but it is clean and the people are so nice here. If you have fragrance sensitivity there is a gardenia floral scent in the lobby area. I gave 4 stars because the price of $229 per night which is what I paid is very reasonable for Waikiki but it’s a basic hotel/motel feel. Not luxury.

Had a great stay here. Very Welcoming staff, goes above and beyond! Nice lobby with golf/ football simulator and some games. Great restaurant. Right off a private beach, about 1 min of walking. They give you Towels and chairs free to rent too! Oh and the in house coffee shop is amazing!

Great location AWAY from the crowds! Easy 5 min beach walk on Waikiki to all it provides, yet away from the crowds for privacy. Easy access to roads leading to Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay and the Lighthouse, as well as highways leading everywhere else. Complimentary beach chairs, towels and insulated water bottles were fabulous for exploring other beaches around the island!! On site laundry facilities we a bonus, too!
