Join a full-day group tour across Hawai'i Island to the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge, established as the first refuge for forest birds. This experience suits both casual and avid birdwatchers interested in rare and endangered species. The tour includes hiking up to 4 miles through varied terrain and access to off-the-beaten-path locations via a 4WD short-wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter.
Spot endangered birds such as the vibrant red I'iwi and Apapane, the wide-eyed Pueo, the bright yellow Akiapōlā’au and Amakihi, as well as the Hawai‘i Creeper, Elepaio, Ōma’ō, and the Hawaiian hawk ‘Io.
