Description
This tour begins with snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay, a 315-acre marine sanctuary known for vibrant coral reefs and tropical fish. Occasionally, spinner dolphins can be spotted nearby. The crew provides informative commentary throughout the journey.
After snorkeling, enjoy a gourmet deli lunch in the shade, overlooking the Captain Cook monument and the dramatic cliffs of the bay.
The next stop is Pu’uhonua O Honaunau, also called the “Place of Refuge.” This bay features smooth lava rock flats and coral gardens, offering rich snorkeling opportunities with cultural significance.
The tour concludes at a remote black sand beach accessible only by boat. Here, snorkel near a stone arch and impressive lava formations formed thousands of years ago. The vessel used is designed for safety and close coastal exploration, including sea caves and lava tubes.
