Island of Hawaii, Hawaii

Embark on a 4-hour snorkel adventure in Kona. Explore two vibrant reefs, encounter tropical fish, and possibly spot dolphins and sea turtles.

Four-Hour Snorkel Tour in Kona, Hawaii

This 4-hour snorkel tour in Kona suits swimmers aged six and up who want to explore vibrant coral reefs and marine life along the Kona Coast.

Tour Description

Begin your adventure by checking in at the Keauhou Shopping Center store, where you will receive snorkeling gear, sign waivers, and get your boarding pass. Do not arrive early as the check-in time is not the departure time. From there, take a short 5-minute drive to Keauhou Bay for boarding.

The tour includes two prime snorkeling spots. First, visit Kealakekua Bay, a marine sanctuary known for rich coral reefs and historical significance near the Captain Cook Monument. You can snorkel among tropical fish, corals, and possibly sea turtles (honu) in clear waters. Deeper waters here offer chances to spot native spinner dolphins.

The second site is another renowned reef along the Kona Coast, home to hundreds of tropical fish species, manta rays, and other wildlife. During winter months, you may see humpback whales breaching near the boat.

The experienced captain and crew will provide guidance and answer questions throughout. Participants must be comfortable swimming and treading water. The tour finishes by returning to Keauhou Bay.

Tour time indicates check-in; total tour duration includes gear setup and lasts about 4 hours dock to dock.
