Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden
Hawaii
Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden has a rich history being one of the favorite picnic grounds of the last reigning monarch of Hawaii - Queen Lili'uokalani. The queen later decided to give this land to the city of Honolulu for all to enjoy and since then this place has become home to native Hawaiian plants. Tucked away within the busy city of Honolulu, it's no wonder why this garden is truly an oasis of beauty that many people love to visit.
Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden features 7 ½ acres of garden grounds where you can go strolling and even set up for picnics. This garden also features the Nuuanu stream and waterfalls which is really lovely to look at and a great place for meditating and picture taking. Of course the garden is full of native Hawaiian plants to view.
Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden is located at North Kuakini Street in Honolulu which is relatively close to the downtown area of the city. Being situated this close to the heart of Honolulu means that there are plenty of options open when visiting the Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden such as nearby accommodations, restaurants, shopping centers, specialty shops and more.
