The Magic Island Beach is part of the Ala Moana Beach Park and is another popular tourist destination in Honolulu, plenty of locals and visitors alike go here for a fun relaxation. This 'island' is actually a man-made peninsula where you can find the small-curved beach where you can go swimming, picnic, body surf, and more. Not to mention the island also has large grassy areas and trees which is perfect for relaxing, and family gatherings.
Magic Island was built in the 1960s and was built onto the reef off Ala Moana Beach Park. The beach is surrounded by a rock barrier giving it protection against large waves making it relatively safe for anyone to swim in. The swimming area is a bit small compared to the nearby Ala Moana Beach Park but people can still body board, surf, and swim in it.
Magic Island is located along Ala Moana Boulevard just at the end of Ala Moana Beach Park. From here you get to see the beautiful ocean, the nearby harbor, and even the distant Sand Island. This location is also very convenient for travelers and local since it is situated near key locations and popular tourist attractions like resorts, popular restaurants, hotels, and more.
