This small but beautiful bay is considered a hidden gem since not many people come here. That being said, Malaekahana Bay is truly amazing with its crystal clear waters and high enough surf which is great for surfing lessons. You can even catch a glimpse of green sea turtles and other underwater creatures if you're lucky enough.
Although a bit small, Malaekahana Bay has a wide range of amenities including outdoor showers, restrooms, and campgrounds for camping and picnicking. As stated earlier, the surf here is high enough which is perfect for beginners to take surfing lessons but still remain safe.
Malaekahana Bay can be found on Kamehameha Highway which is also close to a number of popular tourist destinations like Malaekahana State Recreation Area and Mokuaia island to name a few.
