Begin your day with a light breakfast at Greenworld Coffee Farm, enjoying pastries and coffee before heading to Waimea Valley. The hiking trail is a relatively easy 1.5-mile route featuring forests, gardens, and streams. Explore the Botanical Garden, home to over 5,000 tropical and subtropical plant species, including many endangered Hawaiian plants.
Along the trail, discover traditional Hawaiian hale (houses) built with natural materials, and participate in traditional Hawaiian games and activities at dedicated sites. The hike ends at Waimea Falls, where you can swim in the natural pool surrounded by lush forest. Life jackets are provided for safety, and a changing station is available near the falls.
After the hike and swim, enjoy a picnic-style lunch in Waimea Valley, choosing from wraps like Chicken Caesar, Veggie, or Grilled Shrimp, with chips and a refreshing drink.
