Description
Check in at the poolside desk of Ko'a Kea Resort in sunny Po'ipu. After signing in, receive a safety briefing and be outfitted with booties, a long-sleeve rash guard, and a soft-top surfboard.
The lesson starts with 15 to 20 minutes of land-based training that includes hands-on practice. Then, walk to the nearby surf area where instructors teach paddling techniques, water safety, and surfing protocols.
Your experienced instructor will assist you into the waves, offering tips and encouragement to help you build confidence and improve your skills. After about an hour on the water, return to the starting point to rinse off in outdoor showers and prepare for your next activity.
