Description
The hike passes through jungle terrain and boulder fields. It is not recommended for children under 5 or individuals with disabilities. There is no upper age or fitness limit.
The tide pool features crystal-clear water and unique marine life such as opihi snails, brittle stars, spaghetti worms, pink coralline algae, seaweed, and distinctive rocks. Sea turtles are often seen offshore during the hike.
The rocky tide pool is generally accessible, though some areas may be off-limits depending on tide and weather conditions. Almost always, guests can swim in a designated area. If swimming is not possible, the guide offers an alternative nearby location to explore. The area is free of ticks and has very few mosquitoes.

Important Information
- Wear hiking shoes or sturdy athletic shoes; closed-toe hiking sandals are acceptable but less ideal. Avoid flip flops for safety.
- Bring water shoes with durable soles for the tide pool.
- Wear a bathing suit and bring a towel. There are no restrooms at the tide pool.
- Consider bringing a snorkeling mask or goggles to observe marine life underwater.
- Apply reef-safe sunscreen prior to the hike to protect the tide pool environment.
- Bug spray is unnecessary due to minimal bugs and no ticks.
- A personal first aid kit is optional but not carried by the guide.
