Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens
Hawaii
Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens has a rich history being first purchased by former Senator Hiram Leong Fong in 1950. It was originally intended to be for his children's horses then it was first opened as a banana plantation. Now this beautiful 700-acre garden is a nature preserve and bird sanctuary at the same time. With an abundance of exotic and rare plants and birds to view, Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens is definitely worth the visit while in Oahu.
Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens is a tropical garden with around 700-acres of land full of lush greens, exotic plants, and amazing wildlife. They offer guided garden tours, activities at their visitor center, and even wedding, reception and party services. They also provide educational tours for groups and schools that want to know more about the plants and wildlife they have.
Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens is located along Pulama Road in Kaneohe where it is just a few minutes away from the city. There are only a couple of accommodations and restaurants nearby so plan your trip ahead so that you won't have problems looking for a place to stay or eat.
