So this hotel is ok. Its location. Is perfect only 3 blocks from the beach. BEEARE. they ONLY clean the room every THREE days and the last day they did not clean at all as qe were checking out the next day. In 7 night stay, our room was cleaned on e and NOT WELL. The parking is $37 per night and VERY little is available with very tight spaces. The staff was great at the front desk with the exception of a man who had issues with giving us towels after not having our room cleaned. Doe all we paid, we should NOT have had to take our trash all daily ourselves.
I booked 4 separate rooms and 1 of them had issues with the A/C and needed to change rooms. The carpets were stained everywhere, the curtains were patched up and the stains on the pull-out couch were questionable. Day 1 of us checking in we took my 9 year old nephew to the pool located on site and while he was walking around the pool he cut his toes with glass. Blood was all over the pool area and when staff arrived, they immediately assumed we must've caused it when in reality glass was on the ground. A hotel employee assisting us with band aids used pool water to clean the blood off the ground. Afterwards we were made to write an incident report regarding what had happened. The next day I was contacted by the hotel manager Tim who wanted more details about what had happened and in that conversation he stated that his employees found no other glass besides what had cut my nephew and that it was "odd". Considering we didn't even have anything but hotel towels with us I too found it "odd" that they could be so negligent to have glass on the property in an area where children and adults are barefoot. I also called him out on the staff using the pool water to clean up the area and he claims that his staff were "old school" and that the pool water had chlorine therefore it would "kill any bacteria" and in fact it was him who recommend using pool water to clean. I tried saving money where I could but it was not worth saving on a hotel. Please spend extra at a better hotel.
I reserved a 1 queen bed room, they sent me to two double beds, we needed to go to the front desk again to change key. Another scenario, I sent text message that some bathrooom amenities not filled up, body wash, hand soap were empty, and nobody came to do it. Somewhere in there promo, if you checked in late, a one additional hour is allowed , to confirmed front desk will charged 1 day, " you have to leave on or before 11am, because later than mentioned, we will charge you 1 day,
I booked this as a last minute stay to have somewhere to crash for the night. Luckily only booked it for the first night of my trip. See below: Positives: Great location (close to the beach and shops), price (very budget friendly), cool movie rental kiosk in the lobby, friendly staff, secure room for leaving luggage. Negatives: The room was musty, old, extremely small, and had an old AC unit that was extremely loud and barely cooling the room. I mean LOUD. It felt like I was listening to a lawnmower in the room and it wasn’t even cooling the room. My asthma immediately acted up when I entered my room. It was slightly dirty, missing batteries in the TV remote, and the overall vibe of the hotel was old, dark and gloomy. I understand it’s a budget hotel but I stayed at another place a few blocks down for the remainder of my trip and it was way better. Large room, clean, bright, and a really strong but quiet AC. And yes, it’s also an old building. Sorry but it was super disappointing so I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there.
