Had a decent stay here. My only issue is 3 out of 5 men’s bathroom stalls were out of order and physically broken. Like someone had cracked them down the middle and fixed with duct tape. They also were only cleaned once a day which for the amount of people in there at a given time is frankly gross and unacceptable. That said the rest of the experience was clean and comfortable for 3 nights.

I’m reviewing this based on my experiences at First Cabin in Tokyo. Bathroom at the Hawaii location was terrible and disgusting. The shower water pressure is one of the worst I’ve ever used. Took me 30 minutes to shower just from rinsing alone. The showers are also stalls, not rooms like in Tokyo. The stalls were very small, had dirty floors, and the shower curtain was a hard blue material with brown stains or rust looking material all over it. There were also lots of rocks and dirt in the shower itself. The body wash in my shower was either empty or broken when I used it. The shampoo and conditioner were of very poor quality and I had to use many many pumps of shampoo to wash my hair and body. Rooms were comparable to Tokyo from the looks of it. Although I only used the location for a day pass. The location is impossible to beat. The elevator takes a long time. Staff was nice. I would not stay here again purely because of the bathroom. I don’t see how anyone would deem that acceptable and want to come back.

Worth every penny for a solo traveler! I am so happy that this is an option and becoming a thing outside of Japan! The check in process was easy and completely independent with a tablet on the reception desk. This is how you can also reserve a sauna or other things. When you check in, you're given a special four-digit code that grants you access through the lock keypads at each door that separates the different amenities. The only open area space is the kitchenette and dining area where you're supposed to eat your food, take all your calls or handle any business. Since this is the 14th floor of the business Plaza building, the break room kitchenette area is on the very corner of the building floor. Both walls are covered in Windows that show absolutely breathtaking views of Waikiki Beach and the surrounding shopping area. I do wish there was a little bit of an actual tour of the facilities to make it easier and more comfortable to take advantage of all the extras, but I have no complaints. I stayed in the Women's premium cabins and loved the pod! The twin sized bed was comfy with the down comforter and pillow. The lock box in the cabin held all of my clothes and items for my 3-day stay. There is a space right next to each cabin just outside the accordion door to hold your larger items, and there's a separate area in the room where you can tether your larger suitcases. Or you can use the separate locker room. The accordion style door for each cabin does have about a 4-ft opening at the bottom, mostly for air ventilation. This base does let in a lot of light when the main light in the room is turned on or from surrounding cabins, but as long as you are either mentally prepared for that or bring a sleeping mask, you will not be disturbed by the little bit of light that does come into your cabin throughout the night. I think they turn off all of the lights about midnight, so you may just have a few hours of dealing with that extra light seeping in. Thankfully, I had cabin neighbors that were completely silent and very respectful of the sound that they made so I didn't have to deal with any disruptive noises. But I did bring my noise, canceling earbuds and some ear protection just in case I needed to block sounds out. The restroom area was really nice. I'm so grateful that each toilet has a bidet attachment. The toilets are separate from the showers but they are behind the same sectioned off door for the ladies. The showers are a traditional standing shower but shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided for you in each shower. The doors close and lock easily and they are big enough to make you feel like you have complete privacy. In the same area, there are four or five separate sinks and vanities that have a blow dryer and a curling iron. Some q-tips and makeup remover pads. To get into this section you type in your special code. I didn't utilize the saunas during my stay but they are in a very easily accessible area near the bathrooms. I know for sure that anytime I visit Oahu again, I will most certainly be staying in this same space. It was such a great price for an amazing location that is literally one block away from Waikiki Beach. There's so much to do in the surrounding areas - so much shopping and sightseeing, along with walking the 2 mile stretch of Waikiki Beach, and spending some time looking at the monk seal that hangs out in the area. Again, I am so glad that I stayed here compared to anywhere else. As a solo traveling female it was exactly what I needed without feeling like I was wasting money or space that I didn't need. I completely recommend it for any solo traveler who is comfortable with sharing some space with fellow travelers and easily demonstrates courtesy and respect for others. 10 out of 10, I will absolutely do this again and again every time I come to this island!

I am not one to book a hostel. So I gave this a shot hoping for the best.. and happy to say it was a good experience. I only stayed for the night- but you can tell the hotel/hostel is new, it’s clean and modern. The premium economy pod bed was spacious and there was some room to put personal items. There is a small storage locker and key in each pod. And lots of space to put a bigger luggage although I didn’t see a locking option for that. It’s cool that there’s a TV in every pod. There’s free coffee and tea in the morning with nice views over Waikīkī. I thought the shared bathroom was clean, lots of space to get ready for the day and the shower area was clean. The check in process was easy and the staff I dealt with were nice. You absolutely cannot beat the location… for a short stay I would stay again.

This is a great pod hotel, it is a step up from the hostels. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and the value is very high. The only things that could be added here are more laundry capacity, a space to hang wet bathing suits and towels and white noise makers to block out sound in the pod areas. I would recommend this location and would stay here again.
