Reviews
Waikīkī Malia is a hidden gem of a hotel in downtown Waikiki. We were greeted by their wonderful front desk staff who took care of us during our week stay. Their housekeeping staff was just as warm and welcoming. We had the pleasure of meeting Rosa who was in charge of our floor. She always greeted us with a smile and hello and asked if we needed anything refreshed in our room. The location of the hotel is a few minutes walk away from both the International Market Place and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and about a 10 minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The room was stayed in was relatively clean with the exception of a few minor stains on the carpet from years of guests coming and going. Despite it being a high floor, there was some sound bleed you could hear from the street during the weekend, not so much during the weekdays. The sound that we could hear wasn’t that loud either, we still could sleep normally. The washroom was clean but felt a little small. The shower’s water pressure felt a little light compared to what we were used to at home so it did feel underwhelming. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Waikīkī Malia and the friendly staff that greeted us and took care of us during our stay. We would love to come back again.
Loved our stay, friendly help people working there. Nice room, had a balcony. Bed very comfy, had a water machine. Pool and sauna. Bar next door. Nice street too walk down. Beach 4 block. Destiny will stay there again.
I don't think some of the harsh reviews here are warranted. From check-in to departure we had an amazing time. The service is polite, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. This eco-conscious property is lovely. We found the rooms clean and there was plenty of hot water with excellent pressure for showering. The in-room aromatherapy bath and body products were really nice. Cannot beat the location. I cannot speak to parking, because we walked everywhere. The trolley and city bus stops are close by and it's a short lyft or uber ride to ala moana mall. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
Manny at the front desk provided great service while we visited. Not a resort. Our booking method had the resort fee waived. More like a no frills hotel room. 4* is the price-adjusted rating. Pros: Complementary beach towels. Air conditioner works very well. Plenty of warm and hot water. Water refill station near the front desk provides great water. Mini-fridge in the room. Con: bathroom lacked a fan.
