There’s a decent amount of fish to see when snorkeling, many varieties as well, but the lagoon is too silty now. Was much clearer in 2024. Rumor is more water is getting in now, but I’m not sure how true that is.
The water here is incredibly calm and clear, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing swim or for those who prefer a gentle introduction to snorkeling. The beach area is pristine and beautifully maintained, with soft white sand and plenty of space to set up for a full day of enjoying the sun. I loved how the rock barriers create a safe, tranquil environment that feels separate from the stronger ocean currents, allowing for a very peaceful experience. The surrounding walkways are meticulously landscaped and offer stunning views of the coast, making it a wonderful place for a scenic stroll. It is an exceptionally clean and upscale destination that provides a serene, resort-like atmosphere for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the island in comfort.
We had a stay at Ko Olina Marriott Vacation Club and we can walk out directly to Lagoon 3. You can also walk over to Disney Hotel (Lagoon 2) and Four Seasons Hotel from the beach. The beach is pristine and it's safe for little kids as there are there are barriers for the wave. The sunset is beautiful and they said it's the best view from Honolulu. It's very good for kids and their parents.
