Kapono's at The Lounge Team, We had an absolutely wonderful time! My wife said it was the best Valentine's Day ever. The service was perfect and the food was delicious. I have been going to see Henry play for over 30 years—every Sunday down at Duke's—but this was the best performance yet. I can't say enough about what a great place this is and what a fantastic addition it is to Hawaii Kai. I highly recommend them.

The reboot of this intimate venue under the legendary Henry Kapono and his Foundation to nurture emerging artists makes for a thoroughly enjoyable night out. Interesting drinks & Ono grindz by top notch chef complement the soulful tunes. You will discover many new songwriters & musical talent from across the islands make a debut here. Henry wisely brought Tavana to assist his musician incubator group, The Wave. Tavana is a tremendous baritone & musical entertainer in his own right and he grounds the uplifting harmonies of these five male voices, who clearly all enjoy their collaboration. You feel like you're in a casually luxurious home jam session. They play both well-chosen adaptations of fan faves and original songs of their own creation. Henry usually makes the rounds of the room after the last set so you'll likely get a chance to meet the local legend himself, always a treat!
