We had a wonderful dinner experience here. The place was right by the ocean and it was even better with sunset. We started with some chowder and it was creamy and tasty. The bread was soft and fluffy compared to traditional bread bowl for chowder. We both got burgers and they were pretty good. There was also live music going on and I loved the vibe. Definitely recommend!
Everything about this place is the best. The setting and atmosphere is perfect. Right "on the rocks" with the surf rolling over the rocks and tide pools. Watch the sea life below you. The margaritas are some of the best we've had. Not too sweet, not too sour. The seafood chowder and Mahi tacos are perfect. Our server and all of the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. They even validate parking if you're in the correct lot. Very sorry we found this place on our last day. Best restaurant/bar of our 10 day trip!
Incredible experience here. Felt pretty local, but had that vacation vibe to it. Scenery was amazing and the staff was awesome. Food was amazing also! If you’re into cocktails we recommend those too. The mahi tacos and the burger were our favorites but everything was delicious!
This was the perfect place to end our wonderful Big Island vacation. The drinks were excellent, the music fun, the food so good. I would recommend this for all ages. Kid friendly, family friendly, sweet couple vibes, all inclusive. My noodle dish was excellent. We all enjoyed our meals and even luxuriated in Kona Coffee Cheesecake as a capper. Thank you to the waitress who picked us up as no one was waiting on us in the beginning. I wish I caught your name to give some kudos, as you were awesome.
Ended up going back multiple times during my stay. Everything I tried was just phenomenal! The fish tacos and pork sandwich were by far my favs and ube limeade! All the staff were extremely nice and provided excellent service. The food always came out super quick. We got to see live music and hula one night which just made the experience that much more magical. I wish there was a place like this at home. No other restaurant we went to even slightly compared to huggos on the rocks. Made sure my last meal in Kona was there because it’s truly a special place, with special people, serving special food!
