Great spot to escape the Hawaii heat! There is a cute shop on the ground floor and a lift that takes you up to a huge, breezy rooftop bar. The vibe was lively, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the ice-cold beers came out fast. Excellent views over the street below. We didn't try the food, but the menu options looked great. Highly recommend!
Good selection of beers with a variety for everyone. My favorite was the Red Ale. We also got the BBQ pork Sando, excellent, the sauce and pork were both great. The Ribs just fell off the bone and had a nice crusted glaze on them. The fish tacos were also excellent. Definitely a fun place to eat but a little loud so don't go hear for a quiet dinner.
If your wallet could talk before you walk into Maui Brewing Co. Waikiki, it would probably ask for a moment of silence. This place is big. You take an elevator up to the main area which already makes it feel like an event before you even sit down. Once you are up there the space opens up with plenty of room, good energy, and a lively atmosphere. Prices are definitely in tourist mode. Drinks are around $9 and plates run about $25 to $30, so it adds up quickly. That said, the experience is smooth. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and everything moves efficiently even when it is busy. Overall Maui Brewing Co. in Waikiki is a fun stop with a large space, good service, and solid food and drinks. Just come prepared for the prices and enjoy the vibe without looking at the receipt too closely.
Maui Brewing Co. was the first place we hit after settling in; it was a great choice. We shared the nachos, they were stacked with tons of meat easily the perfect portion for two people. Super flavorful and satisfying. I tried the OMG IPA and the Rice beer(can’t remember the name, and both were excellent. The OMG IPA had bold flavor without being too heavy, and the Rice beer was smooth and refreshing. Overall, awesome food, great beer, and a perfect start to our Waikiki trip. Definitely worth a visit. 🍺🌴
We were looking for a place to have some drinks before our dinner reservation. If you like beer, this is a great place to hang out and the food looked outstanding. Wide selection of local beers but also beers from across the US - on tap. Full bar as well. They do offer “flights” to sample the variety of beer if you are unsure, which was a nice way to get started. Staff were attentive. This place can get busy. When you first arrive they will direct you to stairs (3 flights) but there is an elevator if needed. Prices were reasonable for the area and definitely not as expensive as some place we could have hung out. FYI, when we left about 7:45 the place was starting to fill up (on a Monday night).
