Learn to surf or stand up paddle board with Goofy Foot Surf School in Maui. Students are provided with proper gear including a protective lycra shirt to prevent “board burn” and surfing booties to reduce slipping. Beginners have a quick instruction on board maneuvering and ocean-awareness on the beach before heading into that warm, Hawaiian water.
Goofy Foot Surfer School offers lessons in group settings of one to five or individual and two person settings. To remember your experience, Goofy Foot offers professional photography of your surfing experience with 15 images on a compact disk. They have a friendly staff to ensure a great experience and guarantee that “you will stand and ride a wave in a one 2-hour lesson or it’s free.”
Goofy Foot also has full day surf camps available. Surf camps are open to everyone and instruction levels vary from beginner through advanced-intermediate levels. Instructors give the appropriate guidance to each surfer based on skill and experience level for a truly personalized surfing experience. About a half hour is spent on the beach where students can learn and practice the fundamental surfing stances and the best methods for standing up on the board. Surf Camps include all necessary surfing gear and lunch.
