Also known as Turtle Beach, Laniakea Beach is one of the many beaches found on Oahu's North Shore. Staying true to their namesake, you can get a glimpse of green sea turtles basking under the sun which is an amazing sight to see to say the least. The beach itself is relatively small and has rocky shelf making it a great place for turtles.
Laniakea Beach's main attractions are the frequent visits from the green sea turtles wanting to bask under the sun and eat seaweed. Being protected by the federal endangered species act, there are some spots of the beach that are off limits to human in order to preserve the balance of the environment. This rocky and small beach is a great palce for a quick visit and even swimming.
Laniakea Beach is located along Kamehameha highway in Haleiwa which is really close to interesting and key locations and establishments.
