Original Glider Rides

Original Glider rides offer soaring views of Oahu from North Shore’s Dillingham Airfield. Glider rides are definitely eco-friendly as they literally use wind power to soar around the island. Don’t worry about a lack of wind, as a glider does just that – slowly glide towards the ground (unless you hit an updraft in which case you increase in altitude).

Two person piloted tours are available as well as “mini” flying lessons one-on-one with a professional pilot. If you are feeling a little more adventurous, Original Glider also offers aerobatic tours featuring loop-d-loops and a “just in case” parachute. You can even take home a video of your flight for $35. Transportation to and from your hotel is offered for an additional fee and must be booked at least a day in advance.
