Today was my very first time at the North Shore. Im a new resident on island. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff. I was so happy to see a firewood grill and reminded me of mainland's Blaze Pizza. The pizza was pretty good but was a bit salty and very greasy. I would still rate the pizza a 7/10. Now where the lack of customer service came from my experience with the manager on duty. The manager didnt bother to acknowledge my existence while siting down and even when I left. I saw him interact with everyone else but completely ignored me. So for that reason I have to rate the customer service 3 stars. To the manager on duty, it means everything to be respectful and acknowledge everyone that walks into the establishment that you represent. Do a better job. Its not hard acknowledging all guest, regardless of race/ethnicity or whatever. Do better or find another job where you dont have to represent a brand/company. Thanks.
Our outing to North Shore led us to JAX, but the visit was absolutely divinely orchestrated by the Man upstairs. Being celiacs-myself and my kids, it is always a challenge to find safe places to eat when traveling. (That topped with two kids that are picky eaters can make eating out very stressful) Gabriel and team were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. You stand so very true to your mission and values! We would like to thank you for everything from the bottom of our Texas sized hearts!! The pizza was absolutely phenomenal but what left a bigger impression was your hospitality and pride in what you do at Jax Wood Fired Pizza. May you always be blessed with continued success in your business and in life. Mahalo, Muchas Gracias and God Bless!
Best Sourdough Pizza We’ve Ever Had – Totally worth the drive. We stopped in on a whim and I’ll still be thinking about this pizza days later. The sourdough crust is legitimately incredible – tangy, chewy, and gone we didn't leave the cruat behind. You can tell they take the starter seriously. This is the “right way” to do pizza and it shows. We ordered: • Hot Hawaiian – hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I demolished the entire pizza myself (no regrets). • Classic Pepperoni – my husband said it was amazing and he’s picky about his pepperoni. • Cheese sticks with bacon add-on – DO NOT SKIP THESE. The bacon takes them to another level and the marinara? Insanely flavorful, like they simmer it for days. • What really made the experience special though was Sarah (one of the owners). She’s genuinely warm, passionate about what they do, and took the time to chat with us like we were old friends. In a world that can feel rushed and impersonal, people like Sarah remind you there’s still so much kindness out there. We left with full bellies and even fuller hearts. If you love real sourdough pizza and good people, this place is a must. Support local – you won’t be disappointed. We’ll be back every time we’re anywhere close! ❤️ Second visit : Yummy!!!! Another high light of our trip... Soooo good. Thank you for being a awesome stop. Your Canadian friends.
We were so hungry after driving all day and didn't know what we wanted. Saw this place and decided on pizza. We were walmly greeted as soon as we walked in. We got there at the perfect time for a lunch special, which was a surprise. Our $20.95 pepperoni pizza was $12.99. We got a cheese and garlic pizza too. The pizza base was perfect 👌 the taste was spot on and the service amazing. Its clear the staff live and breathe the JAX story, I love that they have a story. Well done everyone on your awesome food and service.
We arrived here for our dinner after a long day in Haleiwa. They are run by Danzik family and started this in 2019. Their pizza base is sour dough which is a unique thing. We got da kine pizza with mixed greens salad. We were welcomed with a warm greeting and felt a special aloha all around. The pizza was tasty - the kalua pork topping worked well with cheese and tomato base. The salad dressing had a subtle tang to it which we absolutely loved. There are not a lot of seats as it is a small spot - so seating will be tricky. We were lucky to find one open spot. In sum, we had a good dinner and left with happy tummies.
