We had a daily special Hawai’i sea bass which was simply DELICIOUS. The texture is so delicate and taste is very flavorful. It also had great service. We did not get reservation before the sunset but I could imagine the view would be amazing!
Stunning atmosphere and brilliant food. I got the uni hamachi salad and it set the vibe for what was to follow. Precise, delicious, flavors forward good. The lobster was incredible, kanpachi was perfect and delicate. The lions mane mushroom didn’t go with our entrees but worth the taste. Absolutely come here if you can.
Exceptional Dining—From the Very First Step! Our evening at Canoehouse was absolutely unforgettable, and it started the moment we walked up to the host stand. We were a bit tentative and considering our options when we arrived, but the lead receptionist completely blew us away with his warmth and attentiveness. Not only did he make us feel incredibly welcome and perfectly guide us to our table, but he also went above and beyond by noticing the stunning sunset. Without us even having to ask, he graciously offered to take some photos of us as the sun was setting. What made the evening even more special was the server’s incredible attention to detail. He warmly recognized the birthday celebration we were marking for the occasion and took extra care to ensure our dishes meticulously met our food allergy requirements. It’s rare to find that level of intuitive, thoughtful, and protective service right at the front door. The staff turned what could have been a standard greeting into a highlight of our night. If you’re considering dining here, do it—the hospitality is unmatched!
Me and my friends came here for a birthday dinner and it was one of the most breath taking sceneries and phenomenal food. Sam was our waiter and he went above and beyond for us.Gave us the best recommendations and gave us a complimentary ice cream. Grumbles and Cleo were the best assistant servers coming behind our lovely assistant waitress, she never let our waters run dry.The view alone made it worth coming. We got a little bit of everything and for the price it was so worth it. The freshness of the food was like butter in your mouth. I recommend going when they open, so you get that sunset view. We definitely will be back on our next trip!
We chose CanoeHouse for our first night in Hawaii, and the ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. We started at the bar while waiting for our table, and the service was excellent. The bartender was so friendly and gave my husband a great recommendation; I had the Purple Petal, which was incredibly well-balanced and one of the most memorable cocktails I’ve had. For dinner, the raw appetizers were the absolute highlight—the scallops and the poke-style sashimi were incredibly fresh. Both of our fish entrees were also delicious. We finished the night with the Waimea blueberry and citrus dessert, which was light, refreshing, and the perfect end to a wonderful meal. Our serve Ian was perfectly attentive; always there when we needed him but not overbearing. Highly recommend for a special evening!
