Chunky monkey crepe is very good. Filled with ingredients and great combo of flavors. Matcha chai is pretty bland and overall not really a good drink. The sunrise waffle was the big disappointment. A big waffle with a single small over fried egg, and a single slice of cheese. There were 3 slices of bacon which was fine. No extra maple syrup on the side to dip so it was a really dry eat. And over half of the waffle basically had no cheese, bacon or egg to eat with it. Unless you decided to eat a quarter of with bacon, another quarter with cheese only, and another quarter with an over fried egg. For $20+ that felt like a rip off and I was disappointed with the meal. Stick with the crepes, avoid the rest of the menu.

I recently visited Le Crêpe Café near the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa along Woodlawn Drive, and it quickly felt like one of those comfortable neighborhood cafés that locals quietly rely on. The area around the university has a relaxed, student-friendly atmosphere, and the café fits naturally into that environment as a place to stop for breakfast, coffee, or a casual lunch. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming. The café is small and cozy, with a casual layout that encourages people to sit down, chat, or work on a laptop for a while. Being close to campus gives the space a lively but relaxed rhythm throughout the day as students and nearby residents stop in. The menu focuses on traditional crepes prepared in both sweet and savory styles. Savory options often include fillings like ham, cheese, eggs, and vegetables, while sweet crepes highlight ingredients such as fruit, chocolate, whipped cream, or Nutella. The crepes themselves are thin and lightly crisp around the edges, allowing the fillings to carry the flavor while keeping the dish light and balanced. Service during the visit felt friendly and personal, which contributes to the café’s neighborhood feel. Staff interactions were welcoming, and the pace of service matched the relaxed nature of the space. From a global travel perspective, Le Crêpe Café reminded me of small creperies I have visited in cities like Paris, Montreal, and Tokyo where simple ingredients and careful preparation turn crepes into comforting everyday meals.

Fantastic. Haven’t had crepes in years. So of course we go to Hawaii to have them … Small sort of hole-in-the-wall place. Order mains or dessert crepes, or both. “The Canadian” with honey was fantastic. As was the strawberry banana smoothie. Great service. Very small with only 3-4 tables so I guess a lot of people get them to go. But highly recommended!!

Le Crêpe Café in Honolulu is such a gem. From the moment you walk in, it feels cozy and welcoming. The crêpes are exceptional—perfectly thin, lightly crisped, and filled with high-quality ingredients that clearly show care and craftsmanship. Whether you go sweet or savory, you really can’t go wrong. The flavors are balanced, not overly heavy, and everything tastes fresh and made to order. Pairing a crêpe with their coffee makes for the perfect brunch or casual lunch spot. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which makes the experience even better. It’s the kind of place you want to linger at—relaxed, unpretentious, and consistently delicious. If you’re in Honolulu and craving something comforting yet elevated, Le Crêpe Café is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be back.
