⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in all of Hawaii! 🇬🇷🌊🏝️💙 After an amazing snorkeling adventure at Hanauma Bay 🤿🐠🐡🏝️☀️, I was absolutely starving! 🤤I decided there was no better way to recharge than with my favorite Greek cuisine 🇬🇷🥙🍢. Greek Marina in Hawaii Kai completely exceeded my expectations! 💯👏✨ The lamb souvlaki 🍢🐑 was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly grilled 🔥, unbelievably tender 🥹, incredibly juicy 💦, and packed with authentic Mediterranean flavor 🇬🇷❤️. Every bite practically melted in my mouth! 🤤👌 The creamy tzatziki 🥣🧄🥒 was fresh, rich, silky smooth, and paired perfectly with the lamb. 😍 The fluffy seasoned rice 🍚, warm pita 🫓, and fresh Greek salad 🥗🫒🧀 completed an unforgettable meal. Every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and high-quality. 🌿🍋✨ The relaxing island atmosphere 🌺🌴🌊, friendly service 😊🤝, and beautiful outdoor seating ☀️🍽️ made the entire experience even more enjoyable. I really wanted Greek Marina to be my go-to spot, especially for Saganaki, which is so rare to find. Unfortunately, the execution missed the mark. The flambé was more of a 'dud' than a firecracker; the server blamed the lighting, but the pool of unburnt liquor and lack of 'leopard-spotting' on the cheese told a different story. It lacked the crispy edges and high-heat sear that make the dish. The Tabbouleh was also a letdown—visually appealing, but the flavor profile was dominated by onion rather than the vibrant, herbal complexity you’d expect. On the service side, there was a significant lag between my children’s meals and the adults' entrees. A family meal should be synchronized; eating in shifts isn't the experience we were looking for. While the Souvlaki, gyros, and fries were spot on, the service team needs more training in the 'art of delivery' and the discernment to handle a disliked dish. I expressed my disappointment with the salad, but it was still charged. Great location and great potential—aim high and don't let the lack of local competition lead to complacency!
First time visiting and it won't be my last! The man in charge made sure the kids had crayons and paper, the food was divine and they were very accommodating to my XXL service animal! We can't wait to go back!
The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We tried the chicken and beef, along with a side of beef, and everything we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared. We did order a basbosa, but unfortunately, it never arrived. Also, our tea cups were a bit dirty, which was disappointing. Overall, though, the food itself was very good and enjoyable.
