Laid back, good drinks, good food. Had Andy's Teri Beef plate - almost enough for two - I quite enjoyed it. Others in my party had the thai chicken sandwich (loved it), the Shrimp Po Boy (loved it), and the Loco Moco (huge, but just ok - patty was a little dry). Kids mac and cheese was surprisingly tasty - a sharp white cheddar. Note: they will NOT seat parties without everyone there. This was made very very very clear to us lol.
Haleiwa Beach House has the bones of a great North Shore meal. Good drinks, strong appetizers, a beautiful room and a few dishes that really landed. The cocktails were the highlight. The corn was excellent and the ribeye was cooked really well. But the experience had some friction. The host stand felt unnecessarily rigid and disorganized. They would not seat us until the full party was physically standing there, even though the table was ready and the rest of our group was coming from parking. It left everyone awkwardly crowded up front with another party. Service was also slow. Drinks, napkins and basic follow up took too long. We ordered ribeyes and the knives didn’t arrive until the steaks had already started cooling, which is a small thing that becomes a big thing when the kitchen actually did its part. The space is nice, but it gets hot and once it got darker the mosquitoes became a real problem. Bring repellent if you are going around sunset. Food wise, it was mixed but mostly good. The drinks were solid, the appetizers were strong and the ribeye was the best thing we ordered. The lobster salad was the weak point, more like boxed mixed greens with overcooked lobster than something worth ordering again. The kids’ pizza felt frozen and heavy, but the kids were happy enough. I’d probably come back, but I’d come prepared. Mosquito repellent, patience with the front desk and realistic expectations on service.
Our waiter, Cash, was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed his service. Food was good. The spicy ahi wonton appetizer was very fresh. Highly recommend. We also shared the spicy tuna club, it was indeed spicy. I think it was the blackening seasoning though… The fries were 10/10. We also enjoyed a few local beers as well. Overall, very nice experience for a light lunch for 2!
This place is pure magic. Right on the water… front row seats to one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in Hawaii. The sky turns gold, the ocean reflects it, and suddenly everything just slows down. And the food? Just as impressive. ✨ Fresh fish — perfectly cooked, full of flavor ✨ Every dish I tried was on point ✨ High quality, beautifully prepared You can taste the freshness in every bite. But what really completes the experience is the service — friendly, attentive, relaxed… exactly how it should be in a place like this. It’s one of those spots where everything comes together: the view, the food, the energy. Not just a restaurant… an experience you remember. If you’re on the North Shore — don’t miss this.
Well look who made it to Hawaii..Yes that’s right your favorite Hood, my hoodies. So the Hood and the hoodies had some foodventure at this place. Let’s start with the food. Delicious The Hood got a simple fish and chips and the fish was tasty. My hoodies got mani mahi, steak, burger and a po boy shrimp, in which the hoodie that got that is still raving about it today! So the food was great! The service a friendly fellow who seemed to joke with us but we weren’t sure if he was but then that moment that makes you go “oh that’s a joke” hit us but either way he was friendly. Service is good! Atmosphere: awesome 😎 it’s an indoor outsy kind of place. As you sit inside and see all of outside. You can feel the ocean breeze. Also they have fly chaser spinners on the table so that should help. Well my hoodies I am satisfied to say. You should check it out. It is pricey but the food, service, and atmosphere are great! Until we meet again. Be kind to your server and be kind to each other! Foodventure is out there!
