Wow, wow, wow! Maguro Spot was one of the best food experiences I had in Waikiki. The poke is absolutely delicious, prepared in many fantastic variations with incredibly fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly, professional, and always welcoming, while the service is quick and efficient. Every bite was packed with flavor and showcased the quality of authentic Hawaiian poke. If you love fresh fish and tasty food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! Will never forget!
If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful poke in Hawaii, Maguro Spot is definitely worth a visit! We tried three different poke bowls, and every single one was delicious. The salmon poke bowls were incredibly fresh, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. The salmon practically melted in our mouths, and the combination of seaweed salad, edamame, cucumber, avocado, and sesame seeds made every bite refreshing and satisfying. The tuna poke bowl was just as impressive—beautifully fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. You can truly taste the quality of the fish. Everything was prepared with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and great attention to flavor. Every bowl looked as amazing as it tasted! The only thing I wish is that there were more places to sit and enjoy the food, as seating is quite limited. Other than that, Maguro Spot is an excellent place for fresh, high-quality poke, and we’ll definitely be back! 🌺🐟🍣
Maguro Spot is a hidden gem in Waikīkī and absolutely worth the wait! Don’t let the long line scare you—it moves efficiently, and every poke bowl is made fresh to order. One thing I really appreciated is that the fish isn’t pre-marinated. They prepare your poke only after you order, so you get to enjoy the true freshness and natural flavor of the sashimi-grade fish. You can also customize your bowl with a variety of sauces, toppings, and rice options. I ordered a medium Poke Bowl with RAINBOW Spicy Mayo & teriyaki sauce, and it was outstanding. The ahi was incredibly fresh, tender, and generously portioned. The spicy mayo and sweet teriyaki sauce created the perfect balance of creamy, savory sweet, and just the right amount of heat. Every bite was delicious! The quality, freshness, and value make Maguro Spot one of the best poke places I’ve tried in Hawaiʻi. It’s easy to understand why locals and visitors line up every day. If you’re looking for authentic, made-to-order poke in Waikīkī, Maguro Spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip! 🌺🐟🍚
Massive queues at every time of the day - we had to try it! There was abit of a queue at 5:30 & we had to wait just under 30 mins. We got the signature bowl (A) & it was very fresh. Really good quality. They only do take out but do have tables outside - be careful though as the birds will not leave you alone… Is it worth the hype? You can’t deny the quality & is worth a try. Though I wouldn’t say it’s exceptionally different to other poke bowls I’ve had
The wait can be long - but worth it! I hopped in line around 7:10pm on a Sunday night and it took about 45 minutes to get up to the counter. Once they took my order it was out within a couple minutes. This is a no-frills poke spot. That being said no-frills does not mean bad, quite the opposite. The poke was fresh and tasty. I had a medium bowl with tuna and blue marlin. There’s no up-charge to mix and match fish. The sauces are put add to order so they are not marinated. The spicy mayo was good, but next time I’m going to give one of the other non-mayo options a choice. Overall, a great spot if you have the time to wait. I did see you can pre-order online and potentially skip the line, but I did not do that. I’ll definitely be back!
