Enjoyed the snapper which was cooked with the least amount of extra seasoning, making it taste even better with just lemon salt pepper. Delicious people and good. The fried coconut shrimp was also delicious. Their slaw was amazing. We will be back on the next trip.
Visited the aina for the first time in 8 years. I had no idea this place existed, but my daughter said I should try it. The street parking is limited; so, I was pleasantly surprised that there was a LOT of parking behind the restaurant. There were sparrows and pigeons patrolling the outside seating area, which is common for Kailua. It was entertaining watching them and did not put off our experience. We both ordered the calamari with fries and coleslaw. I usually don’t order calamari; so, take this with a grain of salt—best ever calamari! Lol. It was seasoned perfectly and it was so tender. When I usually eat calamari, it is rubbery. Only ika on sushi is usually this tender and moist in my very limited experience. Excellent! The staff was friendly too. Definitely will recommend this place and will return next time I visit the ohana.
Always a great call! Big servings! Dank local fish, big fillets. I go for the plate w the potatoes side and it never disappoints! Charbroiled and Cajun styles are great. Super healthy & fresh. Really fast too!
Lovely fish restaurant. Everything was quite good. I got the ono fillet sauteed, and it had a wonderful buttery flavor, although more subtle than I would prefer. Service was fairly quick and restaurant was clean. Get the house potatoes for your side, they're fantastic!!
We decided to stop here for lunch and really enjoyed it. You can sit outside, which we did, because the weather was just perfect-sunny but not hot. I loved the fried calamari, really crispy and tasty. The food overall has that nice homemade flavor, fresh and satisfying. Such a great spot in Kailua with a relaxed vibe and even chickens and birds walking around
