This place is amazing. My fiancé said if we live in Oahu, we would make friends with the owner of this restaurant. They are very nice, cool, and friendly! We carried a 🍍pineapple where we got at Costco the first day we landed in Oahu. I asked the owner if they minded to cut it for us. The owners very honest to bring it up that the pineapple might be sour, but I still wanted it to be cut. And they did. Their food is delicious, fresh, and huge portion! The price is very reasonable! I highly recommend it! I remember they have combo you can choose, very reasonable price and delicious food!

Sunset Noodle House was such a great find. This was our first visit, and we loved everything about it. The space is cozy and it was the perfect meal for a rainy day. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. We love supporting small family-owned spots like this, and this will definitely be our go-to ramen place in Kailua. So glad we stopped in!
The atmosphere and service was welcoming and comfortable. The set up of the restaurant is comfortable and not awkward at all. The food was delicious. I love the way the cook the bamboo in the Tonkutsu Ramen. As well as the chaired pork, it was a delicious flavor. I would suggest you go for something you’re used to versus trying something new. I also tried the unagi rice, it was interesting. I enjoyed the unagi and the rice, under the unagi was a sweet egg. So if you don’t like sweetness you might not like it. We wanted chicken Katsu curry how it wasn’t ready so we got chicken karage instead, was good.
I’ve had ramen all over Japan and this is about as close as it gets. The marinated eggs are some of the best I’ve ever had. If you are looking for Kaliua’s best ramen spot, this is it! Get extra extra eggs like I did.
