Good food and good service! Water with ice was served the minute we sat down A fast food restaurant that gives you value for money. Large portions, four out of five had to get a doggy bag. One of us dropped a fork, and the waiters got us a new one instantly. I recommend this place.
Lau lau pork was tender, flavorful. Friendly and quick service. Tasty mac salad. They have taken Hawaiian bbq to a higher level. Super cute and fun interior! Way clean.
This is the spot to go of you are craving some plate lunch. Very extensive menu. Chicken Katsu is some of the best, hands down, anywhere, very crispy and juicy. Also tried the garlic fish (best version I've had in a long long time) and mochiko chicken (surprised it didn't come with sauce). Also tried the curry (good flavor) with chicken katsu a different visit, it comes in a container so you don't have to get your chicken wet before you eat it. If you haven't had plate lunch before, it is kinda like a fusion dish, it's usually fresh cooked local style meat on a bed of cabbage or lettuce (to soak up oils) and a scoop of rice and local style mac salad (shout out to the onolicious mac salad here). It's very yummy, but I will say the the meat cook styles lean more towards Asian Pacific American fusion (trying to figure out how they even have negative reviews lol). I thought everything was amazing and beyond delicious. Really hit the spot for some comfort plate lunch food. Luckily it wasn't very busy, since it was mid afternoon, so you could tell they really worked on making everything cooked and plated just right. We got to go plates, with some katsu chicken musubis for later. They have a cute vibe/decor setup and they also have a side puka (bench in an alcove corner) for waiting. Almost forgot, their mini plates are super packed full, they are the size of a regular plate at most places. The whole family enjoyed their cooking style/flavors and we will definitely be back to try more menu items.
The portions are great for the price. Very tasty sauces too. Never had these sauces before. My son and I could barely finish out food and we’re big boys. I like that they’re open late too. Awesome spot. Looks like we found our Wednesday night spot.
The food was TO DIE FOR! We ordered five different entrees and they were all delicious. I highly recommend the chicken katsu curry! Loved how late they are open compared to everything else in Kailua shutting down by 7pm. Very affordable as well.
