Extraordinary dining experience at Son's Steakhouse in Maui! It captured everything I wanted in a romantic and celebratory fine dining experience: Incredible cuisine, tranquil ambiance, and excellent service in a paradise-like setting. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection paired with a delicious twice baked potato and a bodacious glass of Daou Syrah. And the flourless chocolate cake with hot fudge and vanilla ice cream is the perfect way to top off the entire dining experience. Be sure to get a table seated on the outer edge to take in the view of the gorgeous lagoon-like setting and experience the soothing sounds of the waterfall.
We ordered rib eye 20 oz for $90 and it was delicious. The vibe of eating next to waterfalls and swan felt like paradise. So why only 3 stars? Well, we didn't have reservations but they were not busy so we got a table. As we waited for our daughters, my husband and I felt like our second honeymoon. Then Rico, the host asked for my name and phone number on my way to the restroom, I felt baffled. He really couldn't answer me when I asked why but said something about if I left something. Steve, our waiter seemed annoyed with us for not ordering anything while we waited for our girls. We were dressed casually. Older couple. Mexican women with white guy. feeling treated differently and not sure why. End feeling We had a great family experience. Always what we make of every minute shared with those we love I have kids that will make any dinner five stars
After-visiting multiple islands my impression of this Hyatt was lackluster. From the original appeal, the atrium and the lack of engagement it was very meh. The food itself lacked flavor and depth, Basically salt and pepper was needed to give some profile to the overall experience. The EspressoMartini was good but not worth the price tag associated with it.
Best meal in Maui! Rack of lamb - excellent! Pork & veggie dumplings - excellent! Crab cake - maybe the best I’ve ever had. Truffle fries - perfect crispiness and saltiness. Mahi mahi - solid, the saffron rice was amazing! Definitely coming back asap.
Son’z Steakhouse is located inside the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere which includes a beautiful waterfall, swans and ducks gracefully swimming outside an inconspicuous wire netting that you barely know is there. The atmosphere is very romantic regardless of if you are dinning for breakfast or dinner. The best part about this dining experience is hands down the atmosphere. The service is also amazing, actually one of the best I have had. The staff are very attentive and are wonderful. We would definitely give breakfast a consistent 5 stars. Dinner was very good. We had the lamb, Brussels spouts, and salad. They have a great menu but it is a bit pricey. We spent over 300 dollars for the meal not including dessert and with 2 drinks. Breakfast with our package ran us 98 dollars a day for 2 people. Overall wonderful experience!!!!
