I absolutely loved this place! We were told it would be a one-hour wait, but the staff managed to get us seated in just 10 minutes. If you do happen to catch a long wait, there's a great local coffee shop right next door to kill some time. Our waitress was phenomenal—clearly highly skilled at managing a fast pace and a heavy workload with absolute grace. As for the food, it completely rocked the house. Everything tasted amazing. The 4th of July French Toast was beautiful and delicious, and the Chorizo Eggs Benedict was popping with flavor. The bacon and corned beef hash could have been a bit crisper, but they were still incredibly tasty. Everyone in our group had a great time. Keep up the amazing work!

I actually shed a tear while eating this pancake... the flavor, the warmth, the comfort. DREAMY!!! The frosting is insane and just the size and swirl made it the perfect treat. Me and my sister split these the pancakes and omelette and we were more than satisfied! The omelette was a special, and included Parmesan, Hawaiian chili and spinach. Our waitress was super nice and we didn't have to wait for a table even during a rush!! Outdoor patio seating was the perfect compliment. 10/10 recommend.

Lovedddd this place. Worth the 45 minute wait as they do not take reservations. Our server was very nice and efficient while being very busy. My husband and I split the Kalbi Shortrib Loco Moco and the Tropical Stuffed French Toast. Both were absolutely incredible. The kids at the table got a variety of the plentiful choices of pancakes and enjoyed all of them. Some of the seating is in an open air mall. They also struggle to accommodate large groups and our party had to sit separately between two tables that were not close enough together to enjoy the meal somewhat together. The parking lot is quite cramped with small spaces. We found it difficult to park a family SUV. These are the only drawbacks. We still had a great time. (note: walk down to the Manoa Chocolate Factory to kill time if there is a long wait; they do complimentary chocolate tasting experiences, sell/sample local coffee and have bar offerings)

We recently stopped by Cinnamon's Restaurant in Kailua for breakfast with the family. It delivered exactly what we were hoping for: generous portions of Hawaiian-inspired comfort food in a cozy, welcoming spot. Located right in Kailua town, the vibe is relaxed with nice island decor that makes it feel like a local favorite rather than a tourist trap. Service was friendly and efficient even during what seemed like a busy morning (weekday holiday). We went all-in on their classics and specials: The Mac Nut Mahi Mahi Eggs Benedict was a standout. Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and that fresh island fish with a nice crunch from the nuts and crispy batter– it felt elevated but still comforting. The omelet (we went with one of their loaded options) was fluffy and packed with flavor. Cinnamon's does omelets right with generous fillings and solid sides (home fries - sliced, seasoned potatoes) Side order of Pork hash hit the spot – savory, well-seasoned, and satisfying. Their hash variations (like the pork or kalua options) are hearty and pair perfectly with eggs. Guava pancakes – absolute must-order! Light, fluffy, with that signature guava chiffon topping that brings the perfect sweet-tart Hawaiian twist. These are famous for a reason and disappeared quickly at our table. Staff were nice enough to bring an extra side of guava chiffon. Loco moco was classic and excellent – rice, beef patty, gravy, eggs, and all the comforting sides. Big portions! Everything came out hot and fresh, with large servings that easily fed our crew. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity, especially compared to some Waikiki spots. The coffee was solid too (heard it was their house blend with Kona). If you're in the Kailua area looking for a reliable, delicious breakfast or brunch, Cinnamon's is worth it. Highly recommend the Benedicts (lots of options), pancakes, and loco moco. We'll definitely be back – maybe next time for lunch or one of their weekly specials. Great local gem! Pro tip: Arrive early or be prepared for a short wait on weekends. Parking is really tough in this professional complex.

If you show up hungry at Cinnamons Restaurant, you are about to get humbled by portion sizes. There is a metered parking lot nearby which makes it fairly easy to find a spot. Inside seating is comfortable and there is also outdoor seating if you want some fresh air, just be ready to share your table with a few very interested flies. Food comes out pretty fast which is impressive considering how big the plates are. Everything leans hearty and filling, the kind of breakfast that makes you question your life choices halfway through but you keep going anyway. We ordered the Kailua pork loco moco, traditional loco moco, fried chicken eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, and cinnamon pancakes. Every plate came out massive and loaded. The loco mocos were rich and filling, the fried chicken eggs benedict was a standout, and the pancakes were thick, sweet, and easily shareable unless you are feeling ambitious. For a family of four we spent about $150 which feels like a lot until the food arrives and you realize you could probably feed a small team with what is on the table. Overall Cinnamons is great if you want big portions fast service and a classic local breakfast spot. Come hungry bring backup and maybe sit inside if you are not in the mood to battle flies for your pancakes.
