Stopped in Haliwea on a tour. Swung by Stonefish for lunch. Food was great! Atmosphere was nice. I ordered a 1/2lb burger with garlic aioli sauce and bacon jam. So good! And the burger was a true 1/2lb. It was thick! Other orders in our group- chicken sandwich, chicken wings, fish and chips. Everyone had great things to say about there food. My only complaint is that we were in Haliwea for 2 hours and eating took all of our time lol. It took a while for our food to be brought out. Island time.
The food was good and so were the cocktails, though I would say it leaned a bit on the expensive side. We also had to protect our food from flies, but thankfully they provided little fans to help shoo them away. Their Mac Nut Crusted Catch was delicious — the fish was fresh, the serving was generous, and the coconut ginger sauce paired beautifully with it, though I would have loved a bit more of the sauce. The Spicy Shrimp Lettuce Cups had great presentation, but for me, it was overly spicy to the point that you could barely taste the shrimp. Sadly, we couldn’t finish it. The Creamy Goat Cheese Rangoons were a hit — small pockets of crispy goodness. You can never go wrong with their Garlic Shrimp. The shrimp were plump, and the creamy garlic sauce paired perfectly with the rice. The sauce-to-shrimp ratio was spot on. Their Seafood Chowder was my favorite. It was hearty, thick, comforting, and not fishy at all. The Lychee Breeze complemented the food perfectly, along with their other cocktail concoctions. To end the meal, we had their cheesecake. It was light and satisfying, while the berries added freshness and brightness to the dish. I also appreciated that they had a separate gluten-free menu. It was very thoughtful, and the dishes offered felt just as exciting as the regular menu. What truly stood out to me, though, was the service. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and they made us feel genuinely cared for — the kind of experience that makes you want to come back.
I had such a lovely dinner! The ambiance is very relaxing yet classy. I loved the crab rangoon and roasted beet salad. I came with my blind friend during dinner time and because he is blind, finger food is easier for him to eat. So, though they didn't have it on the menu, they were able to make him a fish sandwich! Also 5/5 stars for Tyler! What a lovely, warm, and attentive human!
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was good, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Blue Cheese Wedge with chicken was so delicious. The service was just as impressive. The staff was welcoming, attentive without being intrusive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it was a good dining experience with both great food and great service. We recommend it to others looking for a good meal.
Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Loved the seafood chowder. Taro noodles were surprisingly delicious- subbed then for linguine as gf. Beware offer to sub tarot chips for gf option instead of complimentary bread cost $7. Salmon and chicken were great. Fish in the piccata was water loved and not cooked in the lemon butter. Was good with additional lemon butter and capers. Bit pricey.
