We are tourists to start. Wife got their equivalent of a tequila sunrise. She loved it, a bit on the sweet side for me but good. I got the flight, pilsner, porter, IPA, Wit. I added a Kolsch. The Kolsch, Wit, porter, pilsner were in desending order of my favorites. I hate IPA this one was OK to me. Please take your own likes into this. We got the bread sticks, very good. The red sauce was plain to us. We saw several pizzas come out and they looked good.
We really enjoyed the beer and the thin crust pizza and the notorious PIG sandwich. Our server, Keawe, was super fast and friendly. Great vibe. Casual and fun. Will be back soon! VictorB
Fantastic example of what a “local” should be. Great food, great beer, friendly service. Unpolished, authentic. PROS: Great pizza! The other food looks good too but we keep ordering their pies. Wood fired in a truck out the side. Looks like they do other foods in the oven too. Their beers are arguably the best on the island. Compared to the large, slick, hip breweries you find, this place makes clearly better beer although in much smaller batches. If you want to be ‘seen’ drinking hip beers then go to those big breweries. But if want truly great beer, then come here. The vibe is great… it’s a ‘local’ that happens to make fantastic food and beer. It’s not pretending to be something else. SO refreshing! Service has always been great. They sell some fun merch. CONS: There’s only one… The PARKING SUCKS!! We live in Honolulu but drive to Kailua just to go to Lanikai Brewing (and to maybe visit the bookstore too).
Great tasting beers and a fun atmosphere! The servers were all very sweet as well. We had just eaten so we didn’t try the food but the stone oven pizza looked and smelled great. Walk to the left and go behind the building-you’ll have a beautiful photo op!
Just stopped in the check them out before flying home from Oahu. Nice brewery, very friendly staff. My IPA was solid. There are great views of the wildlife sanctuary behind the building.
